Double Star Cor Caroli (evening)
Cor Caroli, also designated as Alpha1,2 CVn, is the brightest star in the little constellation of Canes Venatici. Even a small telescope can easily
split the medium-bright, magnitude 2.8 star into a slightly variable, blue- white class A0 primary being orbited by a warm-white F2-class secondary star
of magnitude 5.6 positioned 19.6 arc-seconds to the southeast. The system is approximately 108 light-years from the sun.
