    There is so much data there about older technolody makers I like to read on occasionally.

    Yes, and there are/were copies of websites that have gone dark that I could still refer back to. I used to be good about being able to back those up myself but not so much now that web pages have moved way from simple HTML.

    No, they're just using it as a repository, like everybody else. Which makes me wonder if they (the feds) are aware of IA's legal issues. If they are, and still chose to use IA, I'm betting IA just got a "Get Out of Jail Free" card.
