I have a few LoRa toys here, but I am out of range of most everything.
For Meshtastic I have a Heltec V3 upstairs with a bigger antenna (still inside) and then a Lilygo T-Deck I keep downstairs.
Most of the time they can only "see" each other, but every now & then someone will have one on an airplane or one of the HAM guys downtown will put a LoRa node on a balloon and for a brief moment both of them spring to life.
When the T-Desk gets a message a the speaker plays an alert and it has a screen & keyboard, so it makes it easier to reply.
Now about a year later, how's the LoRa system working out?
I have a friend just west of the Huntsville area working with LoRa tech. Currently there is a lot of interference at the 915.125 freq. He moved
to 921.125 but there is still sporatic interference.
I've brought the T-Deck with me up north and haven't seen anything up
there either. If I leave it on while driving through Toronto I see a
bunch of nodes, especially around YYZ.

Next time I go up to visit my parents I'll bring the T-Deck. Maybe I'll connect with your friend.
Do you update your nodes to the meshmap system?
His stations are located west of Yearley Rd, south of Axe Lake. But I don't think you will find him. He's been experimenting with both meshtastic and meshcore.
I'm still a bit befuddled with the LoRa/Meshcore/Meshtasic relationship and how it works, and why would one settle with Meshcore vs Meshtastic.
