Does anyone here play Xonotic or Overload?

Xonotic is a free open-source 3D shooter similar to Unreal Tournament, and is available for Windows, Linux, and Mac.

Overload is a sequel to the Descent PC games, created by the original creators of Descent, who had left the original company. It's also available for Windows, Linux, and Mac, but it's for purchase, and it's on Steam (I'm not sure if it's available elsewhere).

I like these games, as they're fairly recent but I feel like they have the feel of a couple classic games I always enjoyed playing. It might be fun to play some multiplayer games with them. Lately I don't often see many people online on Xonotic multiplayer; I haven't checked Overload.

I just checked few videos of Overload and it looks interesting and fun! I'll definitively check it out later when my backlog of games to play gets shorter.

I have played Xonotic, but it's like it's not my thing, that kind of super-fast paced FPS multiplayer doesn't get me going.
On the other hand, Overload would be quite interesting to give a private group MP a try... If anyone else wants to go online with you, I'd join say any weekend night (UTC 22:00-00:00...), and jump in with you.

I think that would be fun. And I feel like multiplayer Overload would be fairly similar to Xonotic, with the main difference being that Overload would be in fully 360 degrees.

I've bene playing in the monthly 20forbeers DOOM online get-togethers -
I don't know how I used to keep up at that pace for hours! Now, after
about 20 minutes of it I need a break...

Small maps, lots of people and deathmatch make for a fast-paced game.
