    Short answer: YES.

    Vitamin B-12 is considered generally safe. The recommended daily amount of vitamin B-
    12 for adults is 2.4 micrograms. But the good news is that even higher doses are
    generally safe, because your body will only absorb as much as it needs and just
    eliminate the extra through urine.

    But if you are already on certain medication or supplements, it is best to consult with
    your doctor first.

    Also, note that food sources of Vitamin B-12 are meat, fish and dairy products. And if
    you are someone who is not strictly vegetarian, you might already be getting enough B-
    12 from your diet.
