I have 3 computers that do not qualify for the update from 10
to 11 so I turned them into Chromebooks. They all work
beautifully. But I also have one desktop that I specifically
wanted to upgrade.
The computer that was my late Mom's got so slow, that I finally
just powered it down (it had Windows 10 on it). As it turned out,
one of my VGA monitors failed, and I had to use the monitor from the
W10 system as a replacement.
My system uses the same Windows license as before and Windows
update works just as it should. EOL is now extended from Oct
14, 2025 to Oct 29, 2029 with the help from a free program.
That's good news for W10 users.

If you still have the computer, you could try installing Google's Chrome Flex on it. It
should work on any computer. It's free so it may be worth the try. You can do a search
on YouTube for step by step instructions. All you need is a USB stick
and a little
patience.
A cloud based operating system. An interesting idea, expecially if privacy isn't a concern.
