Can you explain the difference between low carb and keto diets? Are both effective for
weight loss?
There˙s only one real difference. A "keto" diet is by name a diet that allow you
percentages in your diet. Commonly 5% carbs, 25% protein, and 70% fats.
If you move very far off those amounts it˙s no longer considered a "keto" diet.
A low carb diet includes keto but makes no real mention of amounts of protein or of fats.
Only net carbs are considered and should be below 20 per day for induction.
Low carb diets main goal is to put you into ketosis to burn fats instead of sugars.
Regardless of diet you do need to increase fats to replace sugars for energy but don˙t
have to eat more fats than you require for normal performance.
