Anyone setup either of these networks?
A lot of Ham Ops here and those in my local GMRS radio group have them all over the place.

I thought it was radio specific at first, but after reading up on it I see it is just txt messaging - almost like the original chat rooms if you add the channels.

I'm not sure which one, so I grabbed a couple LoRa devices to setup one of each to see what I can access around here.

    Hi.
We're looking to set up a small node network, but with the Promicro and
the Faketec board. It's not very powerful, but it's not bad for testing
things out. How is the LoRa power consumption?

    ...the Faketec board.

I'd rather have real tech. ;)

For a newbie like me with meshtastic, it's not bad. My friends are out in the mountains with LoRa and other monsters, creating a network across Spain and parts of the Canary Islands. Although on my island it's more complicated because it's so mountainous.
