Anyone have/use one of these Gotek floppy emulators? I just picked one up on the cheap (20$ USD) and plan on installing it in this AMD k2 system I just got.

Do you think we can use these Gotek as a floppy boot disk installer (emulating the floppy at boot startup)? For exemple: to install MSDOS or Windows 3.1? It would save a lot of time to have a whole selection of floppy images stored on
the Gotek, and be able to do this kind of things. Saving Floppy Disks at the same time..

I'm really interested about it. :0)

    Kind Regards,

I believe this should work, but I'm sure retro PC is so much dominated by emulation, nobody cared to check on a real vintage computers. some less vintage should boot from CD or USB easily and I'm sure there are plenty of ways how to kick-off DOS from such media instead of floppy emulator.
