DJI slashes the price of its 360 camera for the first time, and its way cheaper now than Insta360

its price and at this point, DJI is basically pricing Insta360 out.

DJI launched its first small 360 camera just two months ago, but it's already slashed its price for Prime Day right now the DJI Osmo 360 costs $412.99 at Amazon US (was $549.99) or just 313 at Amazon UK (was 409.99) . Not bad at
all for an 8K camera with built-in memory that's also directly compatible
with DJI's superb wireless mics.

Considering how closely the DJI Osmo 360 pushes the Insta360 X5 for the best 360 camera crown, it's a steal at this new-low price for reference, the X5 standard bundle is currently $499.99 / 469.99 (that's $50 / 50 off, but still a good bit pricer).

In our DJI Osmo 360 review , we awarded the 360 camera 4.5 stars and praised its impressive all-round performance, user-friendly design and solid
companion apps.

When we first saw its headline features, we had really high hopes for the
Osmo 360, and it pretty much delivers in all areas for creating high-quality 360-degree content. However, despite the promise of its larger, square-shaped sensor, the Osmo 360 doesnt outright beat the X5 our current favorite 360 camera on image quality.

The X5's replaceable lens design could save you money in the long run in the event of damage, too; after all, replacing lenses is much cheaper than replacing a whole camera!

That said, for a first effort, the Osmo 360 is extremely compelling, particularly for content creators who already own a DJI Mic 2 or Mic Mini given the direct compatibility between devices. And right now, at a significant lower price than the Insta360 X5, it's the best-value 360 camera available.

Like the Osmo 360, the Akso 360 was launched in July, and it is a top budget pick for beginners, even if the feature set, which rivals the older Insta360 X3, is already dated. It's excellent value, especially with a 15% discount available across all the bundles available via the same link. View Deal

If you don't mind going back one iteration, then the Insta360 X4 is an excellent pick, available for less than the DJI Osmo 360 at $319.99. It also shoots 8K video, slow-motion and bullet-time, and is equipped with a handy 4K single lens mode to double up as a regular action cam, all ably supported
with powerful image stabilization for smooth action on the go. The X4 has decent waterproofing too, although the pricier X5 upped the ante by adding

Launched as recently as July, the Akaso 360 is a top budget pick for beginners, with a feature set to rival the older Insta360 X3. A 15% discount is available across all bundles, whether that's those simply with a memory card included (64, 128 or 256GB cards) or Creator Combos which include additional batteries and selfie stick. Arguably the Creator Combo with additional 128GB card for 229.49 (was 269.99) is the top pick of the lot.

In terms of price to performance, the Insta360 X4 is the closest challenger
to the on-sale Osmo 360. It has been superseded by the X5, which I rate as
the best 360 camera, nor can it quite match the Osmo 360 overall. Still, the X4 delivers stabilised 8K video, slow-motion video and bullet time effects, plus a handy 4K single lens mode to double up as a regular action cam. The X4 is rugged and waterproof too, even if it lacks the swappable-lens design introduced in the X5. That said, most of the X5's features are present in the X4, which now costs much less, and might be a better-value pick from the 360 giant. View Deal
