Steam is having some issues at the moment here's everything we know about issues accessing the Store and games

While Steam is known for having some planned maintenance, it appears that the gaming platform and storefront are failing to load entirely or are operating very slowly. Weve seen posts from impacted users on X (formerly Twitter) and Threads, as well as two sites that track the platform's uptime.

Steamstat.us , which is an unofficial status tracker for Steam, is showing the Steam Store as unavailable entirely and that the Steam Web API is
offline. Currently, Im based in New York City, and while I can currently load into Steams site in Safari or Chrome, I was unable to about 10 minutes ago.

So, to track the latest with Steam and to try and see when this might be resolved, TechRadar is spinning up a live blog, and were reaching out to the company to ask if they have an ETA of when this might be resolved, and whats causing it.

It appears that Steam is starting to recover, as of 1:25 PM ET, Steamstats.us is showing that 'Steam Store', 'Steam Community', 'Steam Web API', and 'Steam Connection Managers' are now back to normal.

Though there have been over 1,700,000 page views to this status checker in
the past hour, this does indicate some issues with the platform.
