With November 28 on the calendar now, it's officially Black Friday! That didn't stop Dyson from starting its sale early, and I'd already seen a whole load of great discounts prior to today.

Now, however, there's up to AU$650 in savings to be had directly from Dyson
on some of its coveted products, including the V-series vacuums and the Airwrap. Given their typically high price tags, shopping during Black Friday is always a good idea. That said, I'm here to help you find excellent Dyson alternatives as well. These are cheaper but perform just as well, so if you aren't too fussed about a brand name, you could stand to save more.

You don't have long to save on a new Dyson product though Cyber Monday (December 1) is just a few days away, and that's when the sale will end. So get a wriggle on treat yourself to a new vacuum, hair styler or purifier for the summer. It's been succeeded by the V16 Piston Animal as the most powerful Dyson yet, but the suction here is still superb. This particular variant of the Gen5detect is similar to the Complete model that came with all the bells and whistles, but there's no free-standing dock here, just a wall mount. This offer was AU$809 previously, but this is still an excellent price for
the standard Gen5Detect Absolute. You only miss out on the wall dock in this offer on eBay via the official Dyson Store. You'll get 2 cleaning heads and 3 additional tools in the box, which isn't bad at all. View Deal

If you live in a large home, having a high-capacity dust canister on your cordless vacuum cleaner is handy. Dyson's Gen5outsize comes with a bigger bin that's 150% larger than the usual Dyson ones, plus larger cleaning heads to get the job done faster. You even get a bigger battery that promises up to 70 minutes of fade-free power. However, that bigger battery and larger fixtures makes this a heavy machine, so it might be unwieldy for some users. Note that this is the Complete model, so you get the Free Dok Multi included. View Deal

If you aren't too fussed about a free-standing dock, you get the biggest
Dyson cordless vacuum for a lot less if you opt for the Absolute model. Everything about it stays the same (except the colour scheme), but you won't get as many inclusions here. It's still a fantastic option for larger homes

Dyson's original wet-dry cordless stick vacuum is pretty handy to have around the home you can vacuum first and then follow it up with a mop. I still use it at home and, in my Dyson V15s Detect Submarine review , I found the
mopping to be very good indeed but a design flaw makes some of that dirty water slosh out when you want to clean out the Submarine attachment. If you can find a way around it, this is one could be well worth considering. View Deal

It might be getting a little long in the tooth but the V15 Detect is still arguably the best Dyson you can buy. And this price on eBay with the checkout code SAVENOV added is excellent value indeed! It's lighter than the models that came after it, runs up to 60 minutes on a single charge (albeit in low suction and non-motorised tools), and the Fluffy Optic is a game changer for cleaning fine particles off hard floors. It was down to AU$569 on Amazon previously and proved so popular, stocks ran out. While this offer isn't as good, it's still a very decent saving on what is still a very good vacuum cleaner. The V11 has up to 60 minutes of run
time, and its got an LCD screen to show you just how much battery life youve got left.

This older Dyson vacuum was down to AU$589 on Amazon in October 2024, but was selling for AU$749 through Black Friday 2024, so I suppose it's fair to say this is a decent deal on the V10. It offers fade-free power for up to 60 minutes, and this variant comes with a Fluffy cleaning head (not the one with the light as in the V15) and the Digital Motorbar to suit homes with mixed flooring. There are three additional attachments in the box, along with a
wall dock. And don't forget the additional AU$10 coupon applied at checkout. View Deal

Dyson quietly released this model earlier this year, offering a cheaper way
to get yourself a wet-and-dry vacuum. It has lesser suction power than the V15s Detect, but we haven't been able to try it for ourselves yet. It also lasts no more than 40 minutes on a single charge. I'd say this would be

The V8 might be Dyson's oldest current model, but it's the best option on a budget. The V8 Plus model ships with two additional tools and the Digital Motorbar, but there's also a wall docking station included. This is a massive discount on Dyson's original floor washer. If you have only hard floors at home, a machine like this saves you time as it vacuums and
mops at the same time. And it can tackle wet spills too. It uses two rollers in the cleaning head and has no filters that can create bad odours when it's at rest. And a self-cleaning cycle ensures it's ready to go for its next spin any time.

Kogan is listing the WashG1 for just AU$449 and while there's no mention of it in the product page, the URL suggests it's a damaged box. View Deal

Dysons first robot vacuum cleaner to be available in Australia isn't bad, and it's the only robovac to use a side 'tongue' or scoop to suck up dust collected along room edges. While it's fine as a vacuum, there are better and more versatile options on the market these days. But hey, if you really want
a Dyson robovac, I'm not one to judge. View Deal Haircare tools

This hair dryer has a plethora of sensors that make sure your scalp remains healthy, automatically adjusting heat and airflow depending on how far away the dryer is from your head. You also get a bunch of magnetic attachments for a styled blow dry too this hair dryer won a TechRadar Gadget of the Year Award in 2024, so it's well worth considering. View Deal

The price of the Airwrap has been hovering around this price point for a
while now, and it's a goodly saving on the popular multi-styler. Note,
though, that the barrel here is for longer hair lengths. Also included is the Flyaways attachment and a few brushes for volume or straightening. View Deal

I don't recall such a good discount on the new edition of the Airwrap multi-styler, but note that only a few of the colourways get this AU$150 saving. According to TechRadar's Home Editor, this is the best hair styler tool , hands down, with the curl.i.d switch being the game changer here. It's still an investment and I don't think this price will drop any further

Promising to take way less time to straighten hair than traditional flat
irons by working just fine in wet hair, the Airstrait is the hair-care tool making headlines. It won't burn wet hair as other straighteners would,
leaving you with less hair damage and a quicker styling session in the mornings. View Deal

While the Dyson Airstrait was busy making headlines, the older Corrale hair straightener is faded into the background. And yet, if you want a Dyson straightener that can work on even the tightest of curls, this would be it.
It was 29% off on Amazon this time last year, but I wouldn't scoff at a smaller 22% saving. It's a heavy appliance, but it works cordlessly for a short time and even has an airplane mode that disconnects the battery while you're travelling. It also has a safety shut off that activates after about

It might be cheaper than the Nural, but with the current discount, the newer and smarter hair dryer is the better buy. Still, the old Supersonic has a fan following and if you've been holding off for it, Dyson's got a good price on the Prussian Blue/Copper colourway. Despite a decent AU$250 saving, this purifier fan and heater is quite an expensive machine, and yet it could justify its premium price. Firstly, it
can be used year round, cooling and heating as needed. Second, if you or a family member suffers from allergies, you don't need a separate purifier,
this does it all, even filtering out noxious nitrogen dioxide that's a major air pollutant and causes respiratory disorders. It even promises to remove cooking odours. View Deal

It's big and its really quiet even at full bore, but this is arguably one
heck of a purifying fan. In our Dyson Purifier Big+Quiet Formaldehyde review, we said it works well in large, open spaces, but its price tag is quite prohibitive, even with this discount it was half price last year for Black Friday but it's unique enough and very effective to not list here. Dyson, with improved filtration following the HEPA H13 standard. This
purifier oscillates 350 to cool you down in summer or warm you up in winter, and the filter is easy to change. You'll know when you need to via the tiny display on the machine. It comes with a handy little remote control and

This Dyson appliance offers heating, cooling and air purification, making it more space-efficient than investing in separate devices. Like the name suggests, this device removes formaldehyde from your home, and Dyson claims the appliance destroys it completely. Its a rather expensive device, but it looks modern and sleek, and the all-in-one aspect is appealing. It's shame that the discount isn't great though, but any saving is a good thing. View Deal

With the Australian summer here, you might be thinking its time to upgrade your old pedestal fan. The Dyson Purifier Cool is a futuristic-looking stand-up fan, which can keep you cool while also purifying the air around
you. It rotates up to 350 and even has a night mode, so it uses its quietest settings. This purifying fan was available for AU$599 during last years Black Friday, so this is a very welcome discount. View Deal

Stay cool in summer and warm in winter with the Dyson Pure Hot+Cool Link. A nifty gadget you can use all year round to keep a room at a comfortable temperature, it also acts as an air purifier, filtering the air it circulates so you can breathe easy. Plus, it's nabbed a solid AU$254 discount directly from its maker.

Save AU$100

This version of Dysons bladeless fan can keep you warm in winter, cool you down in summer, and purify the air in your home all year round. The air purifier is sealed to HEPA H13 standard, and Dyson says whatever it captures stays inside. This device doesnt have the formaldehyde-destroying feature,

We thought these cans were overpriced in our Dyson OnTrac review , but appreciated that the British brand has done a far better job on its second
set of headphones than the Zone. While sound is lovely, there are others who do it better, but just being able to customise the headphones might well be worth the cash. View Deal

It can get up close to edges and the whole body can lay completely flat to help getting underneath tricky to reach places. This standout deal is equal to the lowest price we have seen. It was the multi-styler that began the Airwrap-dupe trend and now it's slowly fading away from popularity with newer models from Shark itself and other competitors joining in. I use it myself and even though the Airwrap would be the better styler, I can't deny its overall value. In this package, Shark allows you to pick three attachments you'll need most (trust me, you won't

No one on my team has tried this yet, but it promises good things on a very tight budget, like fast drying, three temperature settings and three speeds. This rather genius fan in Shark's arsenal isn't like a Dyson, but then it doesn't cost as much either. It's like a normal pedestal fan but it can also convert into a tabletop option with the press of a button. I use this at home and it's whisper quiet, but very effective. It even runs on battery, with up to 24 hours of runtime on a single charge. View Deal

For an additional AU$50 on the standard Shark FlexBreeze fan, you get one
that has a misting attachment in the box. So when you host your next backyard barbie, you can keep yourself and your guests cool and the 24-hour battery
