I can say with complete sincerity that my idea of a good time is watching two Monsterverse creatures absolutely lump each other. Thankfully, that's exactly what Troll 2 on Netflix gives us.

It's certainly an unconventional take on a Christmas movie , put it that way. There's plenty of snow and picturesque Norwegian scenery, but when yet
another troll emerges to disturb the peace, all hell breaks lose.

The team we met in the first movie reunite by commandeering another troll to take down the first one. In essence, it's like Godzilla vs. Kong , only with the same type of monster.

Fans have been picking up on plenty of Easter eggs since the trailer for
Troll 2 was released, and each of them proves the amount of scope the IP has for even more movies. In fact, it was something I asked director Roar Uthaug outright and I have an update on Troll 3 . Troll 3 will likely happen as Netflix director 'has ideas' for new movie

"There's nothing too concrete but ideas have started to spin in the back of
my mind," Uthaug told me about a potential Troll 3. "I don't think there's
any limits to how big the Trollverse can get."

That's a mighty big statement, but not surprising given the fact that Troll 2 was the largest film production of all time in the Nordic Countries. With
more trolls comes more budget and more profit to be had, and these are things Netflix won't be turning down.

I almost imagine it like those app adverts for games you don't actually want to download, where your avatar fights a giant and a million smaller creatures at the same time. By Troll 56 , we could get there.

There would be triple the amount of Easter eggs, too. If you've watched Troll 2 and got hints of Godzilla , Kong or even Transformers in there, it's all on purpose.

"I try to keep up with what other monster movies are doing, but we also try
to make, to give it our own spin," Uthaug says. "We always try to leave some hints. I'm a big, film nerd myself, so we try to add some Easter eggs for people and some references.

"I don't think there's any monster our trolls couldn't take down," he claims. Massive Monsterverse movie mash-up, anyone?
