    Description:
The Breakfast Club leads my recommendations of the best new movies to stream on Prime Video in January 2026.

    FULL STORY ======================================================================

Prime Video has added a host of new movies to its library this month, and three really caught my eye. It can be difficult navigating the huge
libraries, so I'm here to do the hard work for you.

Of all the best streaming services , Prime Video is my top pick for consistently adding great movies. When you take a look at this month's picks, you'll see exactly what I mean, as they're all critically acclaimed hits.

Whether you want a nostalgic comedy or a romantic biopic, there are some worthy watches here. The Breakfast Club

    RT score: 87%
    Director: John Hughes
    Runtime: 97 minutes
    Age rating: R

The Breakfast Club is one of my favorite 80s movies, and if you haven't seen it, now's the perfect opportunity.

The movie stars Emilio Estevez, Paul Gleason, Anthony Michael Hall, Judd Nelson, Molly Ringwald, and Ally Sheedy as high school teens who are forced
to attend school on a Saturday so they can sit in detention. None of them are friends and come from very different backgrounds.

They embody the classic teen stereotypes like an athlete, a brainy person, a criminal, a princess, and a basket case, but despite their differences, they end up developing a bond while working on a thousand-word essay describing "who you think you are." It's a fun coming-of-age movie with an excellent 80s soundtrack, too. Tully

    RT score: 87%
    Director: Jason Reitman
    Runtime: 95 minutes
    Age rating: R

Charlize Theron and Mackenzie Davis lead the cast of this comedy-drama movie that I adore. It follows a mother of two who is pregnant with an unexpected third child as she recruits a night nanny to help with the new arrival.

Tully effortlessly blends humor and brutal honesty and is a raw look at motherhood and how overwhelming it can be. Both lead performances are excellent and build up to a finale that is one of my all-time favorites.

I think it's easy for people to overlook this movie, but you shouldn't, and I highly recommend it. Loving

    RT score: 88%
    Director: Jeff Nichols
    Runtime: 123 minutes
    Age rating: PG-13

Finally, Loving is a must-watch romance. It's based on real life couple Richard and Mildred Loving, an interracial couple, who were arrested and thrown out of their home state of Virginia in 1958.

The Lovings are regarded as the first interracial couple to fight for their right to stay married in a time when segregation existed, and their story is told beautifully by director Jeff Nicholas and leading actors Joel Edgerton and Ruth Negga.

Loving is one of those essential movies everyone should watch at least once, and it's now available as part of your Prime Video subscription.
