    Description:
Both T-Mobile and AT&T have tempting switching offers for new customers this week.

    FULL STORY ======================================================================

Verizon's huge nationwide outage this week plunged hundreds of thousands of users into a cellular blackout, quite possibly the worst outage we've seen at the carrier. Even with promises of compensation credit , many frustrated
users are looking at their options right now.

As someone who covers the best phone and plan deals at TechRadar all year round, I've rounded up this week's best options for potential switchers just below. There are plenty of excellent deals right now at both T-Mobile and AT&T, covering not just the latest devices, but excellent ways to save on
your plan - should you want to switch.

It's a good time to check out T-Mobile, for example, because the carrier has just launched a new 'Better Family' promotion that could save you up to
$1,000 on a high-end unlimited plan. On top of that, the carrier's excellent four-phones-for-free promotion on the iPhone 17 is still available right now
    - a promo that was originally featured back on Black Friday last year.

Meanwhile, AT&T's throwing in $200 of credit alongside all new unlimited
lines this week, a great bonus that's stackable with the other phone deals at the carrier. You can read more about this promotion, and others, just down below. This week's best switching deals at major carriers

T-Mobile Better Family plan: save up to $1,000 with three lines or more
T-Mobile was already a strong option for families, but the carrier has just unveiled a new promotion called the Better Family plan that's just notched things up further. This particular plan bundles in the carrier's highest
level of streaming perks, unlimited mobile hotspot, and free phone upgrades every two years on a plan that starts at just $140/mo for three lines. It's not the cheapest plan available at the carrier, but you essentially get the super high-end perks for much cheaper here, making it a very strong option
    all around. View Deal

T-Mobile unlimited plans: get third line free
T-Mobile's excellent 'third line free' promotion has been a standout for a few years now, and I'm pleased to note that it's still available on all of
the carriers' unlimited plans as an alternative to the Better Family plan above. Although single-line users won't find much joy here, families or those with multiple lines will be able to get their unlimited plans down to a minimum price of just $25/mo if they bundle four lines together on the Essentials plan. Apple iPhone 17: four devices for free on an unlimited plan (no trade) at T-Mobile
Here's an excellent 'seasonal' special from T-Mobile that's actually a hold-over from the carrier's end-of-year sales. Right now, you can get four iPhone 17 for free on an unlimited data plan without the usual trade-in criteria. By itself, that doesn't sound ground-breaking, but the real magic here is in the details. Plan eligibility for this deal includes the carrier's entry-level 'Essentials' plan, which comes out at just $100 per month for
four lines. Yep, that means you can get four free iPhone 17 on four lines
that average out at just $25/mo each. View Deal

Apple iPhone 17 Pro: free with a trade-in and unlimited plan T-Mobile
If you're just looking for a decent T-Mobile deal on a single line, then you could consider the carrier's current promotion on the outstanding iPhone 17 Pro. You can currently trade-in an older device to get the iPhone 17 Pro, which is still valued at $1,099, for free alongside a new unlimited data
plan. If you're not looking to trade, then you can still get $830 off today, which is great too. Note that this deal is also available on the iPhone 17
Pro Max and iPhone Air , if you'd prefer the other devices in the range. View Deal

New line and phone purchase: get $200 bill credits at AT&T
Here's a deal that AT&T's featured on its site for a long time now - a great option for new customers. Regardless of which device you're looking at, the carrier will throw in an extra $200 in bill credits if you order online alongside a new unlimited plan. This particular promotion stacks on top of
the trade-in rebates or other AT&T deals currently available at the carrier
so it's a superb option that further incentivizes new customers to switch over. View Deal

Apple iPhone 17 series: up to $1,100 off with a trade-in and unlimited plan at AT&T
AT&T has some particularly generous trade-in rebates for its opening iPhone 17 deals this week, offering up to $1,100 off the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max, and up to $830 off the standard iPhone 17 and iPhone Air. To be eligible for the maximum discount, you'll have to hand over an iPhone 13 or newer, which
is quite obtainable in terms of criteria. As a side bonus, AT&T is also offering a $200 rebate when you purchase a device online. View Deal

Apple iPhone 16e: $1.99/mo with an unlimited plan, plus $200 in bill credits at AT&T
AT&T's current promo on the iPhone 16e is one of the strongest on the carrier's site right now. No trade-ins are needed to get this device for just $2/mo alongside an unlimited data plan right now and you can also get a nifty $200 bonus if you order a device online. The $200 in question here can only
be redeemed toward bill credits but it's still a great extra for cutting
those pricey plan costs down to size. This particular phone was $6/mo under the same terms recently, so today's deal is very strong indeed. View Deal
