Subscribe to our newsletter IKEA's Kallsup Bluetooth speakers are on sale now in the US for $10 They caught our eye at CES, and were originally set for an April launch They sound impressive for the price, and you can pair up to 100 of them IKEA's cute and quirky Kallsup speaker caught our eye at this year's CES show in Las Vegas, and now it can be yours for just $10 . The colorful little speaker was originally scheduled to launch in April, but it looks like someone at IKEA just couldn't wait because it's available right now in stores and online, so you can grab a bundle and start stacking them up now.
The portable Bluetooth speaker looks unlike anything else we've seen lately, with its compact cubic design and lively colors, and is no slouch in the
audio department either. TechRadar's Reviews Editor Josh Russell got his
hands and ears on the Kallsup back in January, and reported that it sounds "better than it has any right to". "Honestly, I'm a little smitten with the Kallsup's design," he said after seeing and hearing the speaker in person. "I've previously complained about how many wireless speakers seem to be cut from the same acoustically transparent cloth these days, so it's actually really nice to see a device break all the rules." You may like This IKEA speaker is tiny, insanely cheap, and I want 100 of them I tested Ikeas super-cheap Bluetooth speaker and its a blast I can't stop thinking about these affordable IKEA speakers that look like art Image 1 of 4 (Image credit: Lance Ulanoff / Future) (Image credit: Lance Ulanoff / Future) (Image credit: Lance Ulanoff / Future) (Image credit: Lance Ulanoff / Future) You don't have to settle for just one Kallsup, though these little cubes are just begging
to be stacked, and thanks to their Bluetooth 5.3 suppport, you can pair up to 100 of them to create what Josh gleefully called a "sonic skyscraper".
At the time of writing, the Kallsup is available in white and yellow-green, but we've also had our hands on a hot pink version, so hopefully that will be hitting IKEA's virtual and physical shelves soon. As German site
Notebookcheck explains, it's also available in Germany and Sweden , where shoppers can take their pick from all three colors, and Portugal , where the only option is white. See things in a new light The Kallsup isn't the only
fun new IKEA product to arrive ahead of its scheduled launch date. The donut-shaped Varmblixt smart lamp, with its frosted glass and shifting pastel colors, has also landed early. The light, which caused even more of a stir at CES than the Kallsup, was also due to launch in April, but has just arrived
in the US for $99.99 .
Lance Ulanoff, our Editor-at-Large, soon became obsessed with the light's striking design and imagined they would look stunning grouped together on a wall. "With each press of the remote, I watched as the color shifted almost imperceptibly, then slowly transitioned to the new, fully-dimmable hue," he wrote after seeing a collection of them in person .
