STAN is an interesting addition to the canon of words to describe someone who is YOUR BIGGEST FAN, as the spangram would have it it didn't exist in this form until the year 2000, when it appeared as the title of an Eminem song about, yes, an obsessive fan. It has since become part of the established terminology around fandom, showing once again that language is an ever-evolving beast.
I struggled once again to solve this Strands puzzle, and needed a couple of hints to get going. The very long spangram didn't help, nor the fact that I couldn't untangle MANIAC from its jumble of letters.
