Oh, sure, you could just arrange it artfully on the walls to show off your impeccable
taste, but wouldn't you rather just listen to it?

But what to buy? Or, if you already have a turntable, what to upgrade to? Below, I've picked out six of the best turntables we've tested, together with a few extras you might need to complete your setup. The first thing I'll say is that every turntable in my list has built-in Bluetooth, so you can stream to a speaker or headphones with ease. All have a phono stage built-in too, so there's no need for a standalone amp unless you don't have powered speakers. The House of Marley Revolution is the cheapest in my selection, but also one of the best for value and a great starter option. Stepping up, there's the excellent Audio-Technica AT-LP70XBT , which offers better sound for a
slightly higher price and the Sony PS-LX5BT , which costs a fair whack more but you get what you pay for, right? If sound quality really, really matters to you then the excellent Pro-Ject Juke Box E1 sits at the top of this audiophile tree, while the Mixx Analog Plus 2-In-1 and Victrola Stream Carbon both offer something a little different: the Mixx also has a built-in CD player, the Victrola can stream direct to a Sonos setup.

If you want more than just Bluetooth streaming then you'll need some
speakers. The superb Kanto Ren speakers are powered, so there's no need for
an amp there, while the Dail Kupid are some of the best passive speakers
we've tested at this price. The WiiM Amp Ultra is a little pricey you can
get an amp for much less if you want to but as a proud owner I can confirm that it is excellent as both an amp and a streamer, and your tunes deserve
the best, right? And I've thrown in a couple of essential extras, too.
