Bloomberg reporter Mark Gurman, who gets inside Apple information right more often than not, says that the revamped and AI enhanced version of Siri launching with iOS 27 may initially come with a 'beta' label attached. Gurman also suggests that there's "the possibility of a waitlist of some sort"
before you're going to be able to try out the improved features something that you might remember Apple did with the original launch of Apple Intelligence back in 2024. Latest Videos From Watch full video here:

For months we've been hearing rumors about this Siri upgrade, and as per Gurman , it's going to turn Siri "from a voice control system into a
do-it-all AI companion". Some of the incoming features were announced with Apple Intelligence in 2024 and then delayed, including deeper access into
apps and the personal information of users. Powered by Gemini Apple has labeled the new Siri as a beta internally, suggesting that the assistant wont be marketed as fully finished. Theres also the possibility of a waitlist of some sort for people who want to try new features, an approach used with the initial Apple Intelligence launch. https://t.co/hce6gyWX8J June 5, 2026 We also know that Apple has signed a deal with Google to use Gemini's AI models to power the new and improved Siri 2.0. This won't be like the existing ChatGPT integration however: there won't be any mention of Gemini in the app, even though it'll be Google's tech figuring out the relevant AI responses.

According to earlier leaks, Apple is again going to use the privacy argument to suggest that its AI offerings are "fundamentally different" to what else
is on the market, with tighter controls over how much user data gets shared and stored.

We've also already seen how the updated Siri might look on iOS, with an animation popping out of the iPhone's Dynamic Island when the AI assistant gets invoked. Siri chats are also predicted to be synced across devices, for the first time. Get daily insight, inspiration and deals in your inbox Sign
